What do you do at InReach?
I am the Manager of Operations here at InReach; or, as some of my coworkers like to call me…the “MOO.” My responsibilities are to oversee the day-to-day of the Contact Center, Production, and Live Events departments.
How long have you worked at InReach?
I have been with InReach for 1 year and 4 months now.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I really enjoy the constant state of improvement and growth InReach strives for. One of my top values, which motivates me every day is passion, and I can tell my fellow coworkers here share the same passion to constantly learn, improve, and of course have fun. It creates a productive, yet enjoyable environment.
What is your favorite childhood memory?
I spent part of my childhood in Los Angeles, CA, through the late 80’s and early 90’s. Naturally, I became a die-hard Los Angeles Dodgers fan. In my youth, one of my favorite baseball players on the Dodgers roster was Daryl Strawberry. In one of the many home games I attended, Daryl Strawberry came up to bat with the bases loaded, game tied at 2-2 in the 5th. With two strikes on the count, Darryl got set for the next pitch. At this point, with the might and confidence only a 7-year-old can muster, I yelled out, “Hit a grand slam Daryl! Hit a grand slam for me!” Sure enough, a fastball came right down the middle; a fastball Darryl Strawberry sent clear over the center field fence, sealing the Dodgers’ victory. According to my parents, I went nuts. I didn’t stop going nuts until the car ride home where I fell asleep mid-hype (or passed out from pure joy and excitement). It’s a memory I will never forget.
What are your hobbies?
I am a big movie buff, so I love watching movies, both mainstream and “b-movies” (they can often provide some good laughs). I am weeks away from getting married; however, so most of my current hobbies revolve around wedding and honeymoon planning…and trying to keep the stress level down for my lovely fiancée (she might argue I sometimes do the opposite of that).
What is your favorite movie of all time?
I know I just said I am a movie buff, but this is one of the most difficult questions for me to answer. I am also a war history buff. Although it technically isn’t a movie, the HBO mini-series Band of Brothers is one of my all-time favorite war epics. It is close to true historical record, and produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks who proved their war movie prowess with Saving Private Ryan. I highly recommend watching if you haven’t seen it.
What do you want our clients to know about you?
I am a huge proponent of constant growth and learning. As such, I bring that same philosophy to my teams; I constantly assess their effectiveness; what we are doing well, where we can improve, what processes can we implement or discontinue. By doing this, I am confident we will provide a standard of continuous improvement, excellence, and trust for all our valued partners out there.
