We like to highlight one of our staff members so you can get to know us better! Today we’d like to turn the spotlight onto Nathan Vaut.
What do you do at InReach?
I manage the Client Success team so that puts me in touch with every single InReach client in one way or another. Most of normal duties involve working with Donita, the VP of Client Success in developing client strategies on various items, preparing reports for InReach Executive Level Staff, and managing the day-to-day operations of the Client Success team. I also have a small set of clients that I work directly with, acting as their Client Success Manager.
How long have you worked at InReach?
I’ve been at InReach for a little over three and a half years.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
It’s never dull or boring. Every day presents a new challenge and while that can get tiresome some weeks, having the opportunity to learn something new almost every day is a rewarding experience.
What is your favorite childhood memory?
Going to the Houston Rodeo with my family. My Dad had a friend who showed live-stock and it was always fun to go to the live-stock show to see his cows up close. The carnival was great, like any child would think, but I always had more fun seeing the animals!
What are your hobbies?
Eating and drinking…I know it sounds like my hobbies are basic human necessities, but I love going to new restaurants around Austin for all sorts of munchies and libations and I also cook at home a lot too, usually with a record on the turntable since I’m also a music lover.
What is your favorite movie of all time?
Anyone at InReach would probably think I would say Star Wars since I have Star Wars memorabilia all over my office, but I could watch The Big Lebowski every day and never get tired of it. The Dude abides.
What do you want our clients to know about you?
I’m not a “this is the way it’s always been done” kind of person. We’ve made some radical changes at InReach in the time I’ve been with the company and I want to help you explore ideas that might be a little unorthodox, whether that’s working directly with you or with your CSM. Just because it has always been done a certain way, doesn’t mean it has to be!
